Calendar / Classes

Open Stitching: We have Open Stitching every day ... just come! It is unstructured, but that is the idea.

Every attempt is made to keep the cost of our classes/events reasonable. This is done with the understanding that class supplies are purchased at Village Needlework.

Click here to view our printable May and June 2007 calendars.

Note: The printed calendars reflect meetings for the Cedar Valley Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild and for the Smockers Guild of America. More information about these Guilds and their meetings is available upon request. Join us!

We are excited to announce the new Sock Knit-a-long started in Fall 2007 is continuing into 2008. We are working with the book New Pathways for Sock Knitters (by Cat Nordhis). This great new book takes a fresh approach to creating socks – from the cuff down and the toe up. We are starting at the beginning with a couple of small learning socks and then plan to branch out with other patterns.

Knitting skills are required, but new sock knitters are welcome as well as experienced sock knitters who wish to expand their horizons.

There is no charge for the class however we request that you purchase your supplies from shop. New Pathways for Sock Knitters ($28.95) is available for purchase at the shop as are a variety of knitting needles and yarns.
